This is a one hour classroom course to educate licensed insurance agents regarding the current and modern trends affecting consumers, their clients, both senior and younger, their company appointments, and insurance products.

Retirement Income Strategies
In this course, participants will learn the rules, characteristics, and contribution limits of all retirement plans available as well as distribution guidelines. An overview of basic securities, investment vehicles, and insurance products provides participants tools with which to design effective retirement income distribution strategies. Examples of such strategies in combination with a ‘walk-through’ of the retirement income distribution consulting process finishes out the course. Case studies throughout provide implementation illustrations.

Modern Annuity Subjects
Understand the basics of annuities including classifications of annuities, parties to the annuity contract and uses of the annuity contract. Explore the various contract provisions in annuities and how they impact suitability. Learn to explain the taxation of both qualified and non-qualified annuities during both the accumulation and distribution phases. Understand state and federal regulations related to the suitability of annuity product sales. Examine ethical responsibilities of agents in the annuity sales process.
